In April of 2005 TGS director Rod Saunders met Wichita Guitar Society director John Francis as they were hosting a David Cullen concert in Wichita Kansas.  This is where the concept of the Tulsa Guitar Society was born.  TGS held its first meeting in September of 2005.  In March of 2006 Rod and TGS founding member J.T. Gentry traveled to Wichita to attend a monthly meeting of the Wichita Guitar Society to learn a bit about how they conduct their meetings and run their organization.  Thanks to John for his time and valuable advice in helping us get started.
